Google Slides setup · step 1 of 3
Set up SlideShortcuts for Google Slides.
Three steps, about two minutes, and the last one is optional. Keep this tab open: it ticks each step off as you go.
SlideShortcuts for Google Slides runs in Google Chrome on a Mac or Windows computer. Open this page there to set it up.
Add the extension to Chrome
It brings the keyboard shortcuts to every deck you open in this Chrome.
Chrome will list the sites the extension works on: docs.google.com for your decks and slideshortcuts.com for your license (older versions also list api.lemonsqueezy.com). That's expected: choose Add extension.
Chrome says the extension isn't trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing? Choose Continue to install. Chrome says that about every publisher new to the Chrome Web Store, whatever the extension does.

No key yet? Start the free trial: 7 days free, then $9.99 a month plus any tax, card required. The key comes by email straight away.
Try your first shortcut in a practice deck
Align Left, with nothing more than the extension.
Get your own copy of the practice deck. Its first exercise is Align Left: select two shapes and press ⌃⌘← on a Mac, or Ctrl+Alt+← on Windows. They line up on the left.
This page can't see that shortcut from here, so tell it:
Nothing happens in the deck? From 1 November the shortcuts need your license key: see step 1.
Done.
Optional: add the free Slides add-on.
19 more commands, such as Make Same Size and Swap.
19 more commands, such as Make Same Size and Swap. About a minute, one Google permission screen.
Commands like these run in a Google add-on because a Chrome extension can't see which shapes you selected. Every other shortcut works without it.
- Click Install on the Google page.
- Choose the Google account you open your decks with. Signed in to two? Pick the one your decks live in.
- Google lists the presentation you run it in, plus your name and email address, which it gives every Marketplace add-on. SlideShortcuts only ever uses the presentation: not your Drive, your other decks or your email. Tick the boxes, then Continue.
