These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SlideShortcuts, a PowerPoint productivity add-in published by 1183 Ventures LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By installing, activating, or using SlideShortcuts you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the product.
1. The product
SlideShortcuts is a Microsoft PowerPoint add-in that provides keyboard shortcuts and taskpane utilities for slide alignment, formatting, and object manipulation. The product is delivered as a Windows .ppam add-in plus a cross-platform Office Add-in (taskpane) that runs inside PowerPoint on Windows and Mac.
2. License grant
Subject to these Terms and your payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SlideShortcuts on devices you own or control, solely for your own personal or internal business productivity. The license is per-user; sharing your license key with others is not permitted.
3. What you may not do
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the product, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the product or any portion of it
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the product
- Use the product to violate applicable law, infringe third-party rights, or interfere with others' use of Microsoft Office or any related service
- Use automated systems to circumvent the license-validation flow
4. Pricing, billing, and trials
Pricing for SlideShortcuts is published on the marketing site at slideshortcuts.com. Fees are charged in U.S. dollars. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.
If you start a free trial, the trial runs for 7 days from activation. At the end of the trial, the license stops validating unless you have purchased a paid plan. We do not require a credit card to start the trial.
If you install SlideShortcuts via Microsoft AppSource, the listing itself is offered free of charge and license activation is performed externally — i.e., AppSource does not handle the purchase. Paid features are unlocked by purchasing a license at slideshortcuts.com.
5. Refund policy
Refunds for purchases made through Lemon Squeezy are governed by Lemon Squeezy's refund policy. To request a refund, contact support@slideshortcuts.com within the eligible window and we will process the request through Lemon Squeezy. Where Microsoft AppSource is the distribution channel and SlideShortcuts is offered free of charge with external activation, the AppSource installation itself is not a paid transaction and no refund applies to the AppSource install.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Lemon Squeezy customer portal (linked from each purchase receipt) or by contacting support@slideshortcuts.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until that date. We do not pro-rate refunds for the current billing period unless required by applicable law.
7. Updates and changes to the product
We may release updates, bug fixes, and new features over time. Some updates may add, change, or remove functionality. We will not materially reduce paid features without giving you notice and a reasonable opportunity to cancel. The product may from time to time depend on third-party services (Microsoft Office, Lemon Squeezy, our hosting provider); if those services change in ways that affect SlideShortcuts, we will adapt as quickly as practical.
8. Intellectual property
SlideShortcuts and all associated source code, designs, icons, documentation, and other materials are the intellectual property of 1183 Ventures LLC, except for third-party libraries used under their respective licenses. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you.
The icon catalog included with the product is composed of original work and openly licensed third-party SVG content; the catalog as a whole is licensed for use within SlideShortcuts only and may not be extracted for redistribution outside the product.
9. Your content
The slides, documents, and content you create with SlideShortcuts remain yours. We do not claim any rights to them and we do not access them; the add-in operates locally inside PowerPoint. See the Privacy Policy for details on what data is and is not transmitted.
10. Disclaimers
SlideShortcuts is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the product will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Office configuration.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will 1183 Ventures LLC, its members, contractors, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) SlideShortcuts. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for SlideShortcuts in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1183 Ventures LLC from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the product.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the product and cancelling any active subscription. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) will survive.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which 1183 Ventures LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising under or related to these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction, and you and 1183 Ventures LLC consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced via a banner on the marketing site at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of SlideShortcuts after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
