SlideShortcuts isn't appearing in PowerPoint after I installed it.
Restart PowerPoint completely (close all windows, then reopen). Office only loads add-ins at startup. If the SlideShortcuts ribbon tab still doesn't appear, check Insert → Get Add-ins → My Add-ins to confirm it's listed there. If it's not, reinstall via the link in your purchase email.
My license key isn't working.
License keys are case-sensitive but format-tolerant — copy directly from the activation email rather than retyping. If you're seeing "invalid key" errors, email support@slideshortcuts.com with the email address you used at purchase and we'll re-issue.
Does SlideShortcuts work on Mac PowerPoint?
Yes. SlideShortcuts runs on PowerPoint for Mac (16.66+) and PowerPoint for Windows (16.0+). Some advanced keyboard shortcuts ship as an optional Windows-only companion (the .ppam file mentioned in your purchase email). The taskpane features — Symbols, Lines, Textbox Table, Icons, Send-As, Export to Excel, Shortcuts reference — all work identically on both platforms.
My company's IT blocks add-ins. Can I still use SlideShortcuts?
Sometimes — depends on your IT's specific policy. We have a one-page IT allowlist template designed to be forwarded to your IT team that explains exactly what SlideShortcuts is, what it accesses (license email only, no slide content), and which TrustedPublisher / Group Policy rules to allowlist. Email support@slideshortcuts.com for the template.
How do I cancel my subscription or get a refund?
Cancel any time via your Gumroad account (the same email used to purchase) → Library → SlideShortcuts → Cancel. Refund requests go through Gumroad's policy — contact support@slideshortcuts.com within the eligible window and we'll process the refund. See our Terms of Use for full details.
Does SlideShortcuts read or store my slides?
No. SlideShortcuts runs locally inside PowerPoint and never transmits slide content, file names, or document data to our servers. The only thing we transmit is your license email at activation, encrypted in transit, used only to verify subscription status. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
A specific keyboard shortcut isn't working / behaves unexpectedly.
Check the Shortcuts tab in the SlideShortcuts taskpane for the full list of keyboard mappings. If a shortcut conflicts with your PowerPoint customizations or another add-in, email us with the exact shortcut + the behavior you're seeing — we'll either fix it or document the conflict.
I want a feature that doesn't exist. Can you add it?
Maybe! We ship updates regularly based on customer requests. Email support@slideshortcuts.com with what you want and the workflow it would unlock — we read every request and prioritize based on what we hear most often.
